Something a little different...
Something a little different as Halloween approaches, and I'm sure anyone from my hometown will recognize it: This mysterious little cottage on Lake Hill Road was built in 1914 by Mrs. Shorey as an art studio for her husband. Since then, generations of children have passed by the studio on their way to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and Stevens Elementary, daring friends to take a peek inside but knowing they'd be quickly shooed away if they got too close.
Sadly the cottage has (finally) given in to the elements; the last time I was home it had collapsed. I'm so glad I made the time to stop and photograph it before that happened.
